The Good Life Without The Sweat

Most people are of the opinion that the good life does not happen without hard work and buckets of sweat. They believe that to achieve success, you first need to have this educational certificate, that professional qualification, this particular job and that many years of hard work. I have good news for you: God has a better way.
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

The Sins within the Heart of All Humankind

Can we live by
the Law?
No

It is said in Mark 7, "There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him those are the things that defile a man."
Jesus is telling us that there are evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murder, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, and an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness in the heart of a man.
We all have murder in our hearts. There is no one who does not murder. Mothers yell at their children, "No. Don't do that. I told you not to do that, damn you. I told you over and over not to do that. I'm going to kill you if you do that again. I said don't do that." That is murder. You might have killed your children in your mind with your thoughtless words.
Our children must be alive because they run away from us so swiftly; but if we had let out all our anger on them, we may have killed them. Sometimes we scare ourselves. "Oh my God! Why did I do that?" We look at the bruises after hitting our children and think that we must have been crazy to do that. We cannot but act that way because we have murder in our hearts.
So, 'I do what I will not to do' means that we do evil because we are evil. It is so easy for Satan to tempt us to sin.

Don’t Let Stress Get the Best of You by Joyce Meyer

Don’t Let Stress Get the Best of You

by Joyce Meyer
God’s peace. I can honestly say that I will do whatever I have to do to have God’s peace in my life, because it is not God’s will for us to live with stress all the time.
It’s easy for us to feel like we can’t avoid being stressed-out because it’s just the way the world is today. But the truth is just because stress is a disease of our culture doesn’t mean we have to adopt the ways of our culture and live the same way.
We have two options: We can continue to be stressed-out until we fall apart, or we can learn how to receive the peace Christ gives in every circumstance, rather than letting stress get into us.

The Law Is for the Knowledge of Sin
What must we realize
about the Law?
We can never keep
the Law.

In Romans 3:20, we read, "By the law is the knowledge of sin." At first, I considered this verse to be merely a personal message to the Apostle Paul and only tried to believe in the words that I preferred. But after my tears dried up, I couldn't continue my religious life of faith.
So, I sinned repeatedly and found out that I had sin in my heart and that it was impossible to live by the Law. I couldn't bear it, but I also couldn't discard the Law because I believed that it was given to be obeyed. In the end, I became a lawyer, like those mentioned in the Scripture. It became so difficult for me to continue a life of faith.
I had so much sin that, while reading the Law, I began to realize those sins whenever I violated each of the Ten Commandments in my heart. Sinning in the heart is also committing sin, and I had unwittingly become a believer in the Law.

God Gave Us the Righteousness of Faith before the Law

Which one is earlier to follow
faith or the Law?
Faith

The Apostle Paul said that God gave us the righteousness of faith from the beginning. He gave it to Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Seth and Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and finally to Jacob and his twelve sons. Even without the Law, they became righteous before God through the righteousness that came from the faith in His Word. They were blessed and given rest through the faith in His Word.
Time passed and Jacob's descendants lived in Egypt as slaves for 400 years because of Joseph. Then, God led them out through Moses into the land of Canaan. However, during the 400 years of slavery, they had forgotten the righteousness of faith.
So God let them cross the Red Sea through His miracle and led them into the wilderness. When they reached the wilderness of Sin, He gave them the Law at Mount Sinai. He gave them the Law, which contained the Ten Commandments and the 613 detailed articles. God declared, "I am the Lord your God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. Let Moses come up to Mount Sinai, and I will give you the law." Then, He gave Israel the Law.
He gave them the Law so that they would 'have knowledge of sin'(Romans 3:20). It was to inform them about what He liked and disliked and to reveal His righteousness and holiness.

What Mercy Means By Rick Warren

What Mercy Means By Rick Warren
Mercy is like a diamond; it is multi-faceted. Here are seven facets of mercy you need to practice, because I guarantee if you’ll learn how to be an agent of mercy, it will transform your relationships.
1. Mercy means being patient with people’s quirks.
How do you get more patience for your kids, spouse, or friends? The Bible says in James 3:17, “The wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy” (NLT, second edition). The wiser you become, the more patient and merciful you become.

If We Do Things by the Law, Can It Save Us?

< Luke 10:25-30 >
"And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, 'Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?' He said to him, 'What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?' So he answered and said, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.' And He said to him, 'You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.' But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, 'And who is my neighbor?' Then Jesus answered and said: 'A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.'"

3 Steps to a Closer Walk with God

3 Steps to a Closer Walk with God

The word sanctification means a dedication to seeking God and becoming more Christ-like while turning away from sin and a world-centered lifestyle. Sanctification is the process of pursuing God and becoming more like Jesus.

Here are 3 steps to help believers maintain the process of sanctification.

1. Put God's Word in Your Heart

Begin the sanctification process by putting God’s Word in your heart. Read it, believe it, study it, memorize it, think on it, and obey it. Start by establishing a time of daily Bible reading. Some Bibles provide a schedule to help you read through God’s Word in a year.
Prior to each reading, ask God to give you insight into His Word and thank Him in faith for doing so. Write down scriptures that the Holy Spirit quickens to you.
During the day, memorize and think about what you’ve read. Prayerfully ask God to show you how the scriptures apply to your life. Do what the Word and the Spirit—both are always in agreement—tell you to do.

POEM OF THE MOMENT: I Believe.... Some good thoughts!

I Believe.... Some good thoughts!

I believe . . .
that we don't have to change friends
if we understand that friends change.
I believe . . .
that no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I believe . . .
that true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I believe . . .

Story: Productivity Versus Fruit by Katherine Loop

Wow, Grandpa, look at that tomato plant. It’s a big one!”
Justin pointed excitedly to a rather unusual tomato plant in the back of the garden.
Grandpa didn’t look so impressed. “It’s a big one, all right,” he replied. “But do you see any tomatoes?”
Justin skipped over to the plant and began inspecting it more carefully. To his surprise, he hardly saw any tomatoes—only an abundance leaves.
“Why aren’t there any tomatoes, Grandpa?”
Grandpa shook his head. “That plant has been so focused on foliage it’s forgotten what really matters. Come here, Justin. See this plant over here? Now this one is bearing fruit.” Continue here

Question of the Day ~Why do positive confessions bring results in some people’s lives and not in others?~ Kenneth Copeland

Why do positive confessions bring results in some people’s lives and not in others?

A: Words are powerful things. The Word of God leaves no room for doubt about that. There has, however, been some misunderstanding among believers about how we can put that power to work in our lives.
Some people have the idea that they can just jump up once and say, “I believe I receive a million dollars today”—and somehow be a millionaire by nightfall. That, of course, is foolishness.
To determine the difference between faith and foolishness where confession is concerned, we have to go directly to the Word of God. Mark 11:22-25 says:
"Have faith in God. For verily I [Jesus] say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses."
I want you to notice several things about that passage of Scripture. It does state that you can have what you say. But it also outlines some conditions you must meet:

DID YOU THINK YOU KNOW?

DO YOU KNOW THAT?

In 2001, the World Christian Encyclopedia counted 33,830 different Christian denominations

Christianity is the world's largest religion, with over 2.4 billion adherents, about a third of the world's population.

Most scholars say Jesus never viewed himself as creating a new religion per se, just reforming Judaism.

STORY MUST READ /How Alicet Brought Her Sins to Heaven and Sormen Found Everything He Could Love in Hell (A fairy tale of Heaven and Hell)

How Alicet Brought Her Sins to Heaven and Sormen Found Everything He Could Love in Hell (A fairy tale of Heaven and Hell) by

MUST READ!

Alicet was a milkmaid and a slave, and so she rose in the cold, foggy darkness each morning to attend to her charges in the fields. Each morning after she finished the milking, she skimmed the cream, set a portion of the milk aside to sour and curdle for cheese, pressed the whey out of the curds from yesterday’s souring, churned the cream into butter, and collected the rest of the milk into pails long before the sun rose, so that every morning just before dawn she might be found at the crossroads high in the dark, misty, witch-haunted hills of Ib-Sata carrying her pails of milk or bundles of soft cheese or butter south to the markets in Ib. There she would sell these wares and then set out to return to the farm with the gold, and if she were cheated at the market or robbed on the way, well, it would go the worse for her when she returned to her master.
Sormen was a slaver and a prominent man in Ib, and so he usually woke in the afternoons to stand at the auction block for just an hour or two making a handsome profit as he trafficked in bodies, and then he spent his nights amidst the brothels and taverns of Ib. In addition to his earnings at the auctions, he collected rent from peasants who farmed his lands north of the city, so occasionally just after dawn he too might be found at the same crossroads high in the dark, misty, witch-haunted hills of Ib-Sata intent on wresting gold from his tenants to pay for a long night of debauchery. A single month’s rent from his tenants could easily make a thief’s fortune, so he dared not send a messenger or servant on this errand, but always saw to it himself. If it happened, as it did this morning, that his fine horse threw him and then bolted back to Ib, then Sormen would continue on foot, cursing the beast and resolving to take a farmer’s horse to get himself home, and the farmer could draw his cart or pull his plow himself, so far as Sormen cared. After all, they lived on his lands, they owed their very being to him, and they should be grateful for that. They always acted as if they were grateful, anyway.

Gateways to Financial Dominion! By David O. Oyedepo

Gateways to Financial Dominion!
By David O. Oyedepo

“…God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” – (2 Corinthians 9:8).
We recognize from scriptures that financial dominion is our heritage in Christ. That means, every child of God is a candidate for wealth and by redemption, has an inheritance of financial fortune in Christ. As it is written:
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich” – (2 Corinthians 8:9).
It is also written: “…Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” – (Revelation 5:12).
This establishes that redemption is our gateway to financial fortune. However, God empowers us for wealth through the revelation and application of the covenant. Thus, it is trading the covenant secrets in the Word that launches people into financial prosperity. This is because in the midst of crisis, God’s Word always triumphs.
For instance, in my crave to know the secret of Kingdom prosperity; I went on a three-day prayer and fasting adventure on March 20-22, 1982. I took my Bible and the books of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland (The law of Prosperity and God’s Will is Prosperity), searching and asking God to show me this secret. On the third day, God spoke to me from Deuteronomy 8:18 which says: “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”. He further said, “My son, my prosperity plan is not a promise, so it does not answer to prayers. It is not a promise, and so it has no respect for fasting. My prosperity plan is a covenant and until your part is played, I am not committed.” This encounter changed my life forever!

Seek First God’s Kingdom by Joseph Prince

Seek First God’s Kingdom by Joseph Prince

As a child of God, know that it is your Father’s pleasure to meet all your needs. Jesus Himself tells us, “For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” But God does not want you to seek after things. He wants you to seek first His kingdom. And when you do that, all the things that you need will be added to you!

So your first priority every day is to seek His kingdom. The word “first” in verse 33 is the Greek word proton, which means “first in order or importance, holding the highest place in all our affections”. My friend, God wants us to seek first His kingdom, and all things will fall gloriously in place.

Changes: Oh, the Possibilities! by Joyce Meyer

Changes: Oh, the Possibilities! by Joyce Meyer
My father became a Christian when he was 83 years old. There were many times throughout the years when I thought, “He will never change!” But I kept praying for him. And thank God, eventually, he did change—he experienced the greatest transformation of all. My father became a Christian when he was 83 years old. There were many times throughout the years when I thought, “He will never change!” But I kept praying for him. And thank God, eventually, he did change—he experienced the greatest transformation of all. To be transformed means you are changed entirely from the inside out. When we become born-again Christians, 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP) says we are “a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!” The Holy Spirit comes to live in us, and He works in us—transforming our mind, will and emotions—so we become more like Jesus day by day. As we grow spiritually, the good work that’s happening inside us can be seen through the way we live, and we become testimonies of what God has done. Sadly, many times people don’t believe they can be completely changed. And often they don’t believe other people can change.

But the only thing that never changes is God (Hebrews 13:8). And He wants us to dare to believe that He “is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]” (Ephesians 3:20 AMP). The question is what are you expecting God to do for you? Maybe you’re having a hard time believing that your kids can change, your marriage can improve or that you can ever lose weight, get a better job or get completely out of debt. But Jeremiah 29:11 says God’s thoughts and plans for us are “for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” He has a good plan for you, and you can dare to believe He can heal you anywhere you hurt and help you with every problem you face. It’s time to start expecting more from God than you’ve ever believed He would do for you before. The key to having what God wants you to have is learning to think like He thinks.

Poem of the Moment: When I say, "I am a Christian" by Carol Wimmer

When I say, "I am a Christian" by Carol Wimmer When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting, "I’ve been saved!" I'm whispering, "I get lost! That's why I chose this way". When I say, "I am a Christian" I don't speak with human pride I'm confessing that I stumble - Needing God to be my guide When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong I'm professing that I'm weak And pray for strength to carry on. When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success I'm admitting that I've failed And cannot ever pay the debt. When I say, "I am a Christian" I don't think I know it all I submit to my confusion Asking humbly to be taught. When I say, "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect My flaws are all too visible But God believes I'm worth it. When I say, "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain I have my share of heartache, Which is why I seek His name. When I say, "I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge I have no authority... I only know I'm loved ................ What about you? Are you searching for inner peace and unconditional love? Are you having a difficult time finding true peace? If you would like to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, you can say this prayer: Dear Father, I need you. I acknowledge that I have sinned against you by directing my own life. I thank you that You have forgiven my sins through Christ's death on the cross for me. I now invite Christ to again take His place on the throne of my life. Fill me with the Holy Spirit as You commanded me to be filled, and as You promised in Your Word that You would do if I asked in faith. I pray this in the name of Jesus. As an expression of my faith, I thank You for directing my life and for filling me with the Holy Spirit. Amen. Saying this prayer is the first step towards a personal relationship with Jesus, who will guide and encourage you every step of the way. We would love to pray for you and send you further information by e-mail. Please fill out the form here

STORY FOR YOU! /A must to read//

Nothing Can Separate
From her bedroom window, Rebecca eyed the children playing in the snow enviously. How she longed to play with them! “Now, Rebecca,” she remembered her father telling her that morning. “You can’t play in the snow today.” “Why not, Father?” Rebecca had asked. Every day, the neighborhood children gathered at a park just behind Rebecca’s house. “Just trust me, Rebecca. It’s not what’s best for you today,” her father had replied. At the time, Rebecca had responded by kissing her father on his cheek and assuring him that she would stay inside and read. But now she was having second thoughts. It is beautiful outside, she thought to herself. It was true: the sun was shining brilliantly. Why wouldn’t her father let her go play? Why should she have to miss out on all the fun? When a snowball exploded just outside her window, Rebecca decided she couldn’t stand it any longer. She simply had to go join the others!

Leaving her book on the table, Rebecca slipped outside. She tried to tell herself she was having a good time, but all the while her heart felt uncomfortable. She kept looking this way and that, fearful least her father see her. After a few hours, Rebecca finally said her goodbyes and headed back towards the house. She wanted to be safely lodged in her room before her father came home. Intent on getting to her room as quickly as possible, Rebecca didn’t see the mitten someone had left on the stairs until her foot slipped on it. Next thing she knew, she had fallen several stairs. To her horror, she noticed that she had hit her father’s favorite picture when she fell! A huge gash ran along the front of the picture. Normally, Rebecca would have hurried immediately to her father after such a fall so he could doctor her up and make her feel better. But not this time.
